The conference is organized by two events: the Cultural Heritage Directorate (ceased since then) was established in 1998 and we celebrate the European Year of Cultural Heritage in 2018. The aim of the conference is to give an overview of the events and major breakthroughs of archaeological heritage protection between these two dates, covering the present questions and future challenges.
