XIV. International Limes Meeting
July 16-22, 2018
This year the International Limes Meeting is going to be organized for the 14th time. The professional program of the meeting facilitates the preservation of archaeological, cultural and natural heritage of our country for the students by supporting the Roman Limes in becoming a World Heritage site.
In the past few years some European countries have been working together on a project so that new territories of the Limes situated on the border of the Roman Empire might become a part of the World Heritage Program.
Participation:
- For student groups: workshops concerning heritage preservation, educational lectures, adventure tours, time travel
- For tradition preservation groups: organizing thematic workshop for students, exchange of experience, developing relationship, planning joint projects, heritage preservation conference
- For individuals: handicraft, meeting, workshop
- Adventure stations for students: archeology, handicraft, heritage preservation, environmental protection, numizmatics, museology, music, drama, ethnology, gastronomy, architecture, antique shipping, 3D reconstruction and ancient games
- Workshop topics: Inscription of the Roman Limes on the UNESCO list of World Heritage, archeological explorations of the Roman era, reconstruction of handicraft products learning about tradition, organizing common projects
- Additional programs: Concerts, period procession,gastronomic events, drama performances
